Setting Up My New Bullet Journal – Volume 20
In case anyone wondered whether I like the bullet journal system or not, the fact I’m setting up volume 20 probably gives a good indication of what I think. Yeah, I like it a lot! I have a lovely notebook ready to use from TieFossi. It’s the ‘tree of life’ notebook in pink and it’s so beautiful.
July always seems to be the time that I need a new bullet journal ready and waiting to go for me. It’s the perfect time too, being that it’s halfway through the year. I’m excited to share my new setup with you in today’s post. I’m continuing with the vintage theme I had in the first half of the year which I know some of you may not have seen so this is a lovely introduction into my style.
Like other posts I’ve done, I won’t just be sharing pictures. I’ll give an explanation into why these specific spreads work for me and how I’ll be using them. With all of that explanation out of the way, let’s get to it!
Introduction
I always like to have introductory spreads for each bullet journal. It allows me to set the style and theme. In the past, I would have the year and a quote but as you can see from the image below, I now have a grid spacing bookmark. This is perfect as I can take it out and have it with me as I’m creating new spreads. It works really well for me!

Future Log
This layout for the future log works so well for me. I love adding dimension to my spreads with dutch door layouts, something you’ll see later on too. I have also used other layouts before but there’s something about the vertical layout with every date listed that I really like.

Health Spread
I have had this spread in my layout for the last couple of years. I thank this spread for allowing me to make positive steps with regard to my health and weight. You will see that I love a year in pixels spread so expect to see this again very soon.

Year in Pixels Spreads
Yep, I told you that you would see this again soon! I really like looking at these spreads at the end of the year to sort of a get a quick insight into how my year was. I find it quite fascinating and these spreads work really well for me.

Blog Post Ideas
You may or may not know that I have my own personal blog that I upload weekly to. I blog about a variety of topics as you can tell, and this spread allows me to write down any ideas I get. If I use any of these ideas, I will cross it out. I love having this divided into topics as well, as it allows me to see what topics I might want to talk about more.

Blog Post Tracker
This is of course linked to my previous spread. I like to keep track of every blog post I’m writing and the different stages that it goes through from planning to published. Having this layout works well for me as I can tick off each stage and know what I need to do.

Bill Tracker and 2026 Themes
We all love those boring adult things, don’t we? You know, bills bills bills. I am working hard to improve my financial health and having a bill tracker allows me to keep an eye on the bills I’m paying. This is a copy of the layout I used for the first half of the year but next year, I might make some changes to include amounts and how long I’ve got left before the bill is cleared but I’m not sure.
To make sure that I look at my bill tracker, I also have a 2026 themes spread. This is where I will give a small snippet of all the themes I had in my bullet journal throughout the year. It’s a positive fun spread as opposed to the dull and boring spread that is my bill tracker.

New Bullet Journal Themes and Old Bullet Journal Themes
I like to make a list of all the theme ideas I have that I can use in my bullet journal. This is where I list them all and I like that a lot. As for old bullet journal themes, I like to recreate past themes every now and then. I like to make a note of these so that I can make sure I’m recreating the same theme over and over again.

This Year So Far
This is a new spread for me. Well, kind of. At the beginning of the year, I had a goodbye 2025 and hello 2026 spread which were like my journal spreads for the year. I thought I would just talk about my year so far in this spread and talk about things I’m looking forward to for the rest of the year. It’s a free-flowing spread where I can kind of talk about what I like.

And that, my friends, is my 20th bullet journal setup! I hope this helps you in some way. I will see you soon!
